PublicationAs investor demand for sustainability information is growing, it is crucial that the information is robust and of good quality for decision-making.
To meet the needs of investors, WBCSD and AssuranceMark have designed a free course with the objective to provide investors with a toolkit that they can use to differentiate high-quality assurance from less robust third-party verification and inform engagements with companies to reinforce accountability. The course is intended to be interactive and engaging with a focus on working through practical examples and case studies.
Samantha Ross, Founder of AssuranceMark said, “Investors depend on both financial and non-financial reporting for investment decision-making, capital allocation and stewardship. Assurance is a key mechanism to ensure that the information that investors use is robust and reliable. This course is not how to audit, but rather how to use the audit. It will equip investors with the resources and skills to read the fine print in assurance statements, evaluate the scope, depth and quality of the assurance work, and ultimately leverage assurance in a strategic way.”
