Fiona Watson

Senior Director, Corporate Performance & Accountability


Fiona is a Senior Director at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) leading their work on Corporate Performance & Accountability (CP&A)  based in Amsterdam. 

Working closely with WBCSD Member companies and partners worldwide, she focuses on building, scaling and accelerating collaborative business solutions to enable the integration of sustainability into decision making and leverage the power of transparency to transform and drive more aligned capital allocation. She works in close partnership to deliver these business solutions with WBCSD’s Imperatives  and Pathway pillars and convenes the Senior Advisory Board of WBCSD’s Preparer Forum for Sustainability Disclosures.

Her role leverages her executive experience working on transformative agendas in the finance and business worlds. At RBS/NatWest she was Head of Legal for Treasury, Disclosure and ESG in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis (2010-2020) where she was a member of various executive committees including the Executive Disclosure Committee. This was followed by various global Legal and Sustainability roles at Amazon (2020-2023). She practiced corporate law in New York and London with Davis Polk & Wardell LLP, having started her career in assurance and advisory at PWC in New York. 

Fiona holds a LLM in International Trade and Business Law (cum laude) from Fordham University and LLB in Law with German Law from University College London. She is a dual qualified US/UK lawyer.
